Chateaux Consulting is a consulting firm based in France (Vendée region) dedicated to serving international buyers of French castles, notably US persons. Established and led by Laurent (55) and Irene (42) de Kiev, who have spent their lives between France and California, Chateaux Consulting is the result of their own experience and now expertise in navigating the joys and challenges of finding, acquiring, and maintaining a French castle.
Both are dual US-French citizens and fluent not only in the language but also in the cultural and legal aspects of such an exciting project. We have “been there, done that,” and it is our joy and privilege to make sure that fellow lovers of ‘old stones’ and French living have expert guidance and support, all the way from identifying a potential purchase to the fulfillment of one’s vision of interior design and lifestyle.
Chateaux Consulting offers comprehensive services to potential international buyers of a French chateau, starting with initial conversions to expert support and liaison on critical complex issues such as the choice of a notaire, use of an SCI and other corporate entity, banking challenges (notably for US citizens), ROI and energy calculations, etc.
Chateaux Consulting is headquartered at the Chateau de L’Hermitage in Vendée which is also the principals’ French residence.
